Der in Berlin lebende Niederländer Marcel van Cleef ist professioneller Schlagzeuger und Percussionist. Er studierte an der ArtEZ University of the Arts Arnhem und spielt in zahlreichen internationalen Formationen und Bands mit namhaften Musiker:innen überwiegend im Bereich Rock, Pop, Jazz und Weltmusik. Originell und ideenreich integriert Marcel van Cleef harmonische Strukturen in seine rhythmischen Kompositionen. Dabei entwickelt er immer neue Spieltechniken, um ungewöhnliche Klangkonstellationen entstehen zu lassen. Die abwechslungsreichen Kompositionen klingen dynamisch frisch. Die hohe Spieltechnik von Marcel van Cleef ist, was ihn besonders auszeichnet. Auf seinem hochgradig spannenden Hybrid-Percussion-Drumset erweckt er musikalische Visionen zum Leben.
Berlin-based Dutchman Marcel van Cleef is a professional drummer and percussionist. Marcel van Cleef integrates harmonic structures into his rhythmic compositions in an original and imaginative way.
