Martin Seiler, geboren 1985 in Landshut, ist ein herausragender Jazz-Saxophonist mit
Wohnsitz in München und Wahlwurzeln in New York. Als talentierter Bandleader und Solist leitet Martin sein eigenes Quintett und ist gleichzeitig als Sideman in
verschiedenen Formationen tätig. Das Repertoire seines Quintetts besteht
hauptsächlich aus eigenen Kompositionen, die etwa zu zwei Dritteln durchkomponiert und zu einem Drittel improvisiert sind. Diese Struktur garantiert, dass jedes Konzert ein individuelles Erlebnis mit überraschenden Wendungen bietet. Martin legt großen Wert auf eine starke Band-Dynamik und wählt Musiker aus, mit denen er menschlich als auch künstlerisch eng verbunden ist. Dies trägt dazu bei, eine besondere Atmosphäre während der Auftritte zu schaffen.
Martin Seiler, born in 1985 in Landshut, is an outstanding jazz saxophonist based in Munich with roots in New York. As a talented bandleader and soloist, Martin leads his own quintet and is also active as a sideman in various formations. The repertoire of his quintet consists mainly of his own compositions, about two thirds of which are through-composed and one third improvised. This structure guarantees that every concert is an individual experience with surprising twists and turns. Martin attaches great importance to a strong band dynamic and selects musicians with whom he is closely connected both personally and artistically. This helps to create a special atmosphere during the performances.
