Dieses Quintett ist der Musik von Jazzkomponisten aus New Orleans gewidmet, die den einzigartigen „New Orleans Sound“ geprägt haben. Jazzfans und Musiker kennen den großen Louis Armstrong und vielleicht den bahnbrechenden Jazzpianisten Jelly Roll Morton. Weniger bekannt sind die Komponisten des New Orleans Jazz wie: Ellis Marsalis, Alvin Batiste, James Black, Galactic, Funky Meters und ein paar andere klingen.
This quintet is dedicated to the music of New Orleans jazz composers who shaped the unique "New Orleans Sound." Jazz fans and musicians are familiar with the great Louis Armstrong and perhaps the pioneering jazz pianist Jelly Roll Morton. Less well known are the composers of New Orleans jazz such as: Ellis Marsalis, Alvin Batiste, James Black, Galactic, Funky Meters and a few others sound.
